Jaya Sri Sri Guru and Gouranga!

In the service to the Vaisnavas, Gaia Vrndavana is a countryside community in the mission of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaj. It is localized at the countryside of Viamão, a city near Porto Alegre, capital of Rio Grande do Sul State, South Region of Brazil, near Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. It’s a very calm place, with much natural beauty, surrounded by native forest. Created in 2006 with the aim to associate Vaisnava philosophy with a sustainability and agro-ecology concepts, the community is supported by devotees and friends that visit us, who come by and pass some time here and contribute to the development of the proposal. All people that came with this same purport of Sri Guru seva are welcome!

This place is not commercial. We have as aim the sustainability in the production in this own earth and donations, book distribution, natural therapies and others forms that can be proposed.

Seeking to always serve the lotus feet of Srila Gurudeva and the Vaisnavas, the Ashram realize an annual festival with a 5 days program with the presence of Sripad Bhaktivedanta Vana Maharaj, arrange programs of other great Vaisnavas, as like other courses and lectures.

Our Sevaks/Devotees

  • Raga Lekha Devidasi – President and temple coordinator. Psychoanalyst. Doctor at Clinical Psychology. University teacher.
  • Jahnavi Devidasi – Agricultural producer at Gaia Vrndavana. Student of Agronomy by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, emphasis on agro-ecology.
  • Prema Bhakti Das – Temple Communication, and Sustainability Designer. Biologist- Geneticist, Master degree in Biophysics-Neuroscience.
  • Amrtananda Das – Arts and Cultural Producer. Yoga teacher, ayurvedic therapist and vedic astrologist.
  • Amal Krsna Das – Farmer and General Sevaka. English teacher and translator.
  • Ramananda Das – Webdesigner Sri Gaia Vrndavana Dham. Naturologist (Natural Therapies BS).
  • Goura Priya Devidasi – Lawyer.

Seva Opportunities

Bio-construction of the super-adobe temple, to work with organic farming, distribute books, to do devotional programs in south Brazil.
